President Trump unleashed a blistering warning to drug cartels and their enablers in Mexico and Colombia during an Oval Office session, vowing to crush the narco networks declaring they are “killing our people” like in a “war”.
Trump laid it bare on Mexico’s cartel infestation: “We know every route. We know the addresses of every drug lord…we know their address, their front door. We know everything about every one of them.”
Trump added, “I’ve been talking to Mexico. They know how I stand…let me just put it this way: I’m NOT happy with Mexico, OK?”

Asked if he would conduct strikes on cartels, Trump responded, “It’s OK with me. Whatever we have to do to stop drugs.”

Trump also remarked that he would be “proud” to take out cocaine producing factories in Columbia.

Trump previously blasted Colombia’s leftist leader Gustavo Petro, urging that he is “an illegal drug leader strongly encouraging the massive production of drugs, in big and small fields, all over Colombia.”
“It has become the biggest business in Colombia, by far, and Petro does nothing to stop it,” Trump further noted, adding “The purpose of this drug production is the sale of massive amounts of product into the United States, causing death, destruction, and havoc.”
The President’s latest comments come after Petro’s threat to “take out Trump” in a Univision interview—snapping fingers for emphasis.
Petro snapped: “Humanity has a first offramp, and it is to change Trump in various ways… The easiest way may be through Trump himself–the easiest. If not, take out Trump.”
Trump’s latest rhetoric also aligns with recent U.S. strikes sinking Venezuelan narco boats—over 20 destroyed since September 2025, killing dozens of smugglers—amid Pentagon briefings on “military options” for the “coming days,” including potential land strikes.
Recent meetings with Pete Hegseth and Dan Caine presented plans, with no final decision but intel aiding targets. This builds on Trump’s first-term narco ops, now ramping up to “crush” cartels tied to Maduro.
Trump has long pledged total war on cartels, with plans for ground troops and drone strikes in Mexico—deploying JSOC and CIA for secret hits on labs and leaders.
Former Green Beret Evan Hafer told Joe Rogan last year: “If Delta Force is hunting me bro, I would be so terrified… If they turn loose Delta Force and SEAL Team 6 on cartels and pedophiles, we could just kind of like erase the problem in about two years.”
Border czar Tom Homan echoed the remarks, noting “These cartels are animals… President Trump’s gonna take ’em off the face of Earth… use the full might of the United States Special Operations to take ’em out.”
