Tucker Carlson has dropped a bombshell investigation into Thomas Crooks, the would-be Trump assassin, revealing explosive details that point to FBI deception, a mysterious terrorist-linked contact, and a hasty body cremation—fueling suspicions of a deep state plot to eliminate the U.S. President.
Carlson’s probe posits that Crooks was no lone wolf but a volatile figure ripe for manipulation.
Carlson slammed the FBI for claiming Crooks had “no online footprint,” stating, “The FBI told us Thomas Crooks tried to kill Donald Trump last summer but somehow had no online footprint. The FBI lied, and we can prove it.”
He detailed Crooks’ disturbing searches: over 700 for Trump, plus queries like “craziest chemical reactions,” “mass shooting El Paso,” “Trump civil war,” “how to make napalm,” “Oklahoma bombing,” and “Hitler speeches with subtitles.”
Carlson emphasized, “Here you have a volatile, troubled, possibly mentally ill young man with a long record of espousing violence in public. The FBI clearly knew he existed.”
He further questioned the agency’s oversight: “What did the FBI do with this knowledge? Did they monitor him? Did they intervene? Or did they just let it happen?”
Carlson argued this footprint was “hiding in plain sight,” accusing the FBI of a deliberate cover-up to obscure potential failures or worse.

Carlson also detailed Crooks’ exchange with “Willie Tepes,” a figure linked to the Nordic Resistance Movement, designated a terrorist group by the U.S. State Department.
Tepes pressured Crooks on violence, with posts like “The alternative, a global police state is unacceptable.”
Carlson noted, “At the very end of his years, commenting in public espousing violence, an exchange with a mysterious figure affiliated with the group that we know is being monitored by the U.S. State Department. Hmmm.”
Crooks’ online activity “abruptly ends” after this, raising red flags of recruitment. Carlson probed deeper: “Was this a recruitment? Why did the FBI miss it? Or did they?”
He highlighted Tepes’ alias as a nod to Vlad the Impaler, adding, “This isn’t random—it’s a signal of extremism the FBI should have flagged.”
Carlson exposed how the FBI released Crooks’ body for cremation just 10 days after the July 13, 2025, shooting—coinciding with congressional probes.
He quoted Rep. Clay Higgins: “The coroner would never have released Crooks’ body… without specific permission from the FBI.”
This made independent autopsies impossible, blocking verification of reports. Carlson argued this “obstructed efforts to solve the mystery,” with local law enforcement frustrated by the FBI’s stonewalling.
He thundered, “Why cremate the body so quickly? What are they hiding? This isn’t transparency—it’s a cover-up.”
Carlson also criticized the FBI’s broader narrative: “They told us he was a loner with no motive. But the evidence shows otherwise. The American people deserve the truth.”
Carlson’s findings paint Crooks as “ripe for recruitment,” with the FBI’s lies and cover-up suggesting complicity in thwarting Trump—the only leader cracking down on their networks.
As Carlson put it, “The level of lying and obstruction is shocking.” This probe vindicates Trump’s claims of rigged systems, exposing how agencies shielded threats while targeting him—ensuring his golden age agenda faces endless sabotage.
