Watch: Jennings Slams Dems For Overlooking Maine Candidate’s Nazi Tattoo And Violent Rhetoric

Platner has now had the skull and bones tattoo covered up

The only sane voice on CNN, conservative strategist Scott Jennings, provided some succinct remarks on why Democrats seem willing to overlook the fact that Maine Senate candidate Graham Platner has what appears to be a literal Nazi tattoo, as well as having previously made vile remarks online inciting violence against conservatives.

Platner’s resurrected Reddit posts show the Democrat previously promoting the use of violence as a tool for social change:

And then there’s the tattoo, a skull and crossbones that closely resembles the German SS Totenkopf emblem.

Platner denied knowing that the tattoo resembled a Nazi symbol when he got it nearly 20 years ago. He claims he only became aware of the resemblance after reporters and others recently pointed it out to him.

He has now had the tattoo covered up,

Even if you believe his story about being drunk and not knowing the tattoo was a Nazi symbol, the posts should obviously serve as reason to disqualify Platner from running for office, but Democrats still seem to be behind him.

“If you’ve seen the online discourse around this candidacy, this guy is the favorite of the radical left base of the Democratic Party,” Jennings explained.

He added, “They are standing by him despite the fact he has a literal Nazi tattoo on his chest and he’s made abhorrent comments in some of these Reddit threads that he’s been involved in.”

“They are unwilling to walk away from it because they want the candidates who are the most radical and the most progressive and they are willing to put up with Nazi symbolism and other terrible remarks because of it,” Jennings further asserted.

“This is their guy. I don’t think they’re going to walk away from him,” Jennings continued, urging “Look what they’re saying about this guy. They want the Democratic Party to stand next to him because they think he’s the bigger fighter.”

“He’s the non-establishment guy. And they’re willing to overlook the Nazi stuff over it? I don’t know,” Jennings emphasised.

Watch:

Bernie Sanders has been the Democrat most vocal in support of Platner, stating earlier this week, “I personally think he is an excellent candidate and will support him, and I look forward to him becoming the next senator from Maine.”

“We don’t have enough candidates in this country that will take on the powers that be and fight for the working class,” Sanders added.
