The Trump Administration’s law enforcement surge in Memphis is already having a massive impact after just three days.
Attorney General Pam Bondi announced that in just the first 72 hours, 93 criminals were arrested and a total of 28 illegal guns were taken off the street.
Bondi also said five missing children were recovered, while one man wanted for child rape was arrested and an illegal alien Tren de Aragua gang member was taken into custody.

The governor of Tennessee, Bill Lee said Friday that National Guard troops are just one part of a surge of resources to fight crime in the city along with 13 federal agencies, including the FBI, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF).
The Guard troops are being deputized by the U.S. Marshals Service to support local law enforcement.

Democrats have enabled the lawlessness for years, yet now something is being done about it with tangible results they are up in arms.
And judges who put them back on the street with no bail. A big part is the gangs use juveniles to do a lot of dirty work.

Memphis has faced significant challenges with crime, particularly violent crime. In 2024, Memphis was ranked as the most dangerous city in the United States based on FBI crime statistics, with a violent crime rate of 2,386 incidents per 100,000 residents.
This rate is notably higher than the national average, which stands at 380.7 violent crimes per 100,000 people.
Memphis has been predominantly Democrat-run for several decades, with the city’s mayoral and city council elections reflecting a strong Democratic presence. The current mayor, Paul Young, is a Democrat, having taken office on January 1, 2024. Prior to him, Jim Strickland, also a Democrat, served as mayor.
This Democratic dominance is also evident in the congressional representation, with the western three-fourths of Memphis forming part of the 9th District, represented by Democrat Steve Cohen since 2007.

I accidentally got routed thru the WRONG side of Memphis by Map Quest (yeah, it was a long time ago). I drove through blocks and blocks of tenement housing with dozens of young black men block after block … just sitting around, doing nothing. Luckily, I was only eyeballed … and nothing worse. I got lucky.
My friends in Nashville warned me that Memphis was a shithole. I should have listened to them and gone elsewhere.
