The Tylenol taking TikTok trend just took a deadly turn if an account related by Nicole Sirotek, founder of American Frontline Nurses, is accurate.
Sirotek has claimed that a woman who is around 25 weeks pregnant has overdosed on Tylenol in an effort to defy the warning issued by President Trump about a potential link between use of the painkiller in pregnancy and autism.
The woman was reportedly rushed to hospital after ingesting massive amounts of Tylenol in order to “prove Donald Trump wrong”about acetaminophen, the active ingredient in the product.

Sirotek also covered the details in an X thread:
“Got a frantic call at 4am from a husband who was given my phone number via someone who had it. His pregnant wife is now on a ventilator dying of liver failure trying to “prove” that Tylenol doesn’t cause autism since this is trending in TikTok.
He know has to make to make the tough decision to try and save an unborn baby that may not survive outside the womb at an approx gestation of 23-25wks. At the same time his wife won’t survive through the week and will never get to meet her baby.
This behavior is ridiculous. This woman hated Trump so much because of the HARVARD STUDY on Tylenol and Autism she ultimately killed herself by overdosing on Tylenol to try and “prove Trump wrong.”
Her baby may not even survive either Her husband now may lose his entire family because of the craziness of liberal women chasing TikTok clout with TDS.”
The story has not been verified and Sirotek has further noted that medical privacy laws prevent her from releasing identifying details of those involved.
But if it turns out to be true it is as Sirotek states, a tragic waste of life.
Aside from the studies exploring the potential links to autism and ADHD, the FDA states on its website:
Taking too much acetaminophen, also known as an acetaminophen overdose, is unsafe and can lead to liver failure and death. FDA has previously communicated to the public about how too much acetaminophen can lead to severe liver damage.
That is why the agency has taken steps to reduce the risk of overdose by limiting the amount of acetaminophen allowed in prescription drugs, requiring label changes for over-the-counter drugs containing acetaminophen, and requiring manufacturers to take certain actions for prescription drugs containing acetaminophen.
As we noted earlier this week, after President Trump announced that the Health and Human Services (HHS) department is recommending pregnant women not take Tylenol owing to the potential link to autism, liberal women who are pregnant have taken to social media to post videos of themselves downing the medicine.
A White House fact sheet released Monday cited multiple studies, including from Harvard and Johns Hopkins universities, showing there may be elevated risks of autism or other neurodevelopmental disorders, like attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).

Doesn’t seem like a very sensible thing to do at all. The women taking Tylenol out of spite are hardly thinking of their babies. As far as I have noticed, most medications, at least in Europe, usually state on that long sheet explaining all of the possible side-effects and precautions, that pregnant women should seek the advice of a doctor before taking the particular medicine. Paracetamol (“Tylenol”) is known to cause liver damage if you take too much of it or use it too often, so it is never a good idea to take more than the recommended dose, or to take it without a reason.
But I have noticed, for example in a Facebook group for migraine sufferers, that Americans have easy access to and take a wide range of medications, some of which I would have to apply for and have approved by the Chief Medical Director of the public health insurance before I would be able to take them. And they take many meds I have never heard of. But what shocked me was people’s readiness to live on pharmaceutical drugs rather than trying to address the cause.
That attitude perhaps leads people like those in the video to take these pills as if they were lollies. There is something to be said for restricting the sale of medications to pharmacies, or making them prescription only.
But to take a medication unnecessarily just because you disagree with a politician, is simply absurd and dangerous – especially if you are a pregnant woman, because you are responsible for two lives, not just your own!
Tik-Tok does seem to bring out the worst in people, it would seem. The kind of dizzy people who would charge their phone while sitting in the bathtub.
