A Navy Commander in California holding the title of ‘Deputy Medical Director of Transgender Care for the Navy’ and displaying pronouns in her bio was discovered by social media users as still employed, prompting a scramble to alert Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth.
The bio, prefaced by she/her, read “Navy Cmdr. Janelle Marra, a native of Massachusetts, began her Naval Service by the Health Professions Scholarship program in 2004.”
