World leaders have thanked President Trump to his face today in the White House and admitted that he is the only one who has broken the deadlock in the past three and a half years.
As Trump gathered the likes of British Prime Minister Kier Starmer and French President Emmanuel Macron together, along with Zelensky, who finally wore a suit, some home truths emerged.
NATO’s Secretary General Mark Rutte admitted that if it wasn’t for Trump, peace discussions would be just a pipe dream.

Mark Rutte admitted that without Trump’s efforts, peace would not even be on the table today.

“I really want to thank you, president of the United States, dear Donald, for the fact that you, as I said before, broke the deadlock, basically with president Putin by starting that dialog,” Rutte stated.
“I think it was in February that you had the first phone call,” he continued, adding “And from there, we are now where we are today and that is, I think we play this well, we could end this.”
“We have to end it, we have to stop the killing,” Rutte further urged, adding “stop the destruction of Ukraine’s infrastructure, it’s a terrible war.”
“I’m really excited,” Rutte further offered of the prospect of Trump bringing about peace.
In addition, the President of Finland Alex Stubb told Trump “In the past 2 weeks, we’ve probably had more progress in ending this war than we have in the past 3 and a half years.”

Italian leader Georgia Meloni also heaped thanks onto Trump, noting “Something has changed, thanks to you.”

Even Zelensky had nice things to say.

Not all leaders were on board with Trump though, notably the leftist German Chancellor Friedrich Merz who attempted and failed to lecture Trump about the need for a ceasefire rather than seeking a direct peace negotiation with Russia.
Trump wasn’t having any of it.
