The Daily Show attempted to spear Elon Musk and President Trump by producing a parody Tesla ad, but it ended up making them look more cool and resulted in more people wanting to buy Teslas.
The entire point of the piece was a comment on Trump’s Tesla media show earlier this week. Tesla is an American car company and as such Trump wants to champion it. But that’s somehow bad as far as leftists are concerned.
When Joe Biden paraded around outside the white house in some cars, which were not even all American made, it was just fine, but when Trump does it, bad.

Perhaps the funniest part of this is watching how all the leftists who already owned Teslas are reacting.
While the real weird ones pull stunts selling them and donating the proceeds to NPR and tote bags, there are some who like the cars too much to get rid and so are applying stickers explaining they bought the car before they knew Elon was a Nazi… or whatever.

Everything is virtue signaling to libs, and nothing is genuine virtue. So last year, buying a Tesla showed your moral superiority over those buying gasoline-powered cars. But this year, driving that Tesla shows your lack of virtue because Musk’s crusade to hold the government accountable is bad. There are so many things wrong with the liberal moral system I do not even know where to start.
I couldn’t afford a Tesla so I bought a Starlink connection instead.
