China has proclaimed that the country is “ready for war” with America following President Trump’s decision to impose 20 percent tariffs on Chinese imports.
In a direct threat to Trump, China’s ministry of foreign affairs and its US embassy Declared “If war is what the US wants, be it a tariff war, a trade war or any other type of war, we’re ready to fight until the end.”

The Communist state has announced that it will raise defense spending by over 7 percent to around $250 billion and impose retaliatory tariffs on US imports of 10-15 percent.
Trump is pressing ahead with the tariffs, citing an unwillingness on China’s part to tackle the flow of fentanyl into the US.
China further warned Trump that “intimidation does not scare us. Bullying does not work on us. Pressuring, coercion or threats are not the right way of dealing with China.”
The country’s foreign affairs ministry also stated “The fentanyl issue is a flimsy excuse to raise US tariffs on Chinese imports,” adding “Our counter-measures to defend our rights and interests are fully legitimate and necessary.”
If the U.S. truly wants to solve the #fentanyl issue, then the right thing to do is to consult with China by treating each other as equals.

Beijing has the second-largest military budget in the world, but it is dwarfed by the US, even after Trump’s proposed budget cuts of eight per cent over the next five years.
The US military budget for 2025 stands at around $850 billion. Even accounting for the Pentagon’s estimates of military spending that China doesn’t publicly declare, it is still generally accepted that America spends more than double the amount China does.
