President Trump has deployed thousands of active-duty US troops to the southern US border with Mexico in a major move to reverse the damage done by the Biden Administration.
The AP reports that around 1,500 active-duty troops are on their way to help secure the border, making good on plans Trump laid out in an Executive Order he signed on Monday.
The order outlined that the military will help the Department of Homeland Security with “detention space, transportation (including aircraft), and other logistics services.”
Sources told CNN that the deployment will free up Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) personnel on the border and allow them to focus solely on rounding up illegal aliens who already entered the country under Biden.
Indeed, border czar Tom Homan confirmed that ICE arrested over 300 criminal illegals during Trump’s first full day in office Tuesday, including attempted murderer and a child molester.

Homan also told CNN Trump hater Dana Bash that illegals don’t have to have been convicted of any serious crime to be deported.

Trump has ordered the defense secretary to immediately implement a plan to “seal the borders” and repel “unlawful mass migration.”
“I will declare a national emergency at our southern border. All illegal entry will immediately be halted, and we will begin the process of returning millions and millions of criminal aliens back to the places in which they came,” Trump said during his inauguration speech.

The President has indicated that he will make a decision within 90 days on whether or not it is necessary to invoke the Insurrection Act, which would allow active-duty troops to be used for law enforcement at the border.
