Renowned Movie Director Apologises For Making One Of The Greatest Films In History

“I’m embarrassed, and I apologize to everyone”

Francis Ford Coppola, one of the world’s premier movie directors, has apologised for making what many consider to be one of the greatest films ever.

Coppola told the Washington Post Monday that “I’m the jerk that started numbers on movies.”

Coppola was referring to movie sequels, and in particular 1974’s The Godfather Part II.

“I’m embarrassed, and I apologize to everyone,” Coppola declared.

True, there are hundreds of pointless movie sequels now, betraying just how creatively stagnant and unwilling to take risks modern Hollywood production studios are.

But come on, The Godfather II doesn’t fall into that category.

Now, there is one sequel he should apologise for.

It was a bridge too far.

But just imagine what’s coming down the pipeline…

Put a chick in it and make her gay… and lame.

  1. Fine by me. I hate the Godfather movies. Thing is he wasn’t apologizing for making the movie, he was apologizing for making a sequel since that started the trend. This article has it totally wrong.
