Kamala Harris has still not ruled out doing the Joe Rogan podcast, but only wants to appear for an hour, far less time than the vast majority of guests who appear on the show.
Donald Trump did the podcast last week, a show that has clocked up over 36 million views on YouTube alone in four days.
However, Trump appeared for almost three hours, belying claims by the Harris campaign that he is “exhausted”.
Kamala, on the other hand, only wants to appear for a single hour, according to Rogan himself.
The podcast host said talks for her to appear on the show were still in progress, but the Harris campaign wanted Rogan to travel, a silly suggestion given that every episode is recorded in his Austin studio.
Kamala was in Houston, Texas last week, just two and a half hours away from Austin, but couldn’t fit it into her schedule.

“Also, for the record the Harris campaign has not passed on doing the podcast,” Rogan posted.
“They offered a date for Tuesday, but I would have had to travel to her and they only wanted to do an hour.”
“I strongly feel the best way to do it is in the studio in Austin. My sincere wish is to just have a nice conversation and get to know her as a human being. I really hope we can make it happen.”
Rogan acknowledged that YouTube also appeared to be burying his podcast with Trump in search results, which doesn’t appear for many people, by posting the full episode on X.

Many have questioned Kamala’s competence in sitting down for a long format conversation in which she will likely face some adversarial pushback.
The fact they only want it to be an hour long suggests Kamala’s campaign is fearful of the show backfiring.
