There’s a new trend among Democrats of producing videos of themselves making staged phone calls to fawn and shower each other with over the top scripted praise.
First it was Biden calling into Kamala Harris’ press briefing, then it was the Obamas calling Harris to anoint her, now it’s Harris calling Minnesota Governor Tim Walz to ask him to be her running mate.
Prepare yourself, it’s a 9.5 on the cringter scale .
Yeah, lets get this done, lets get out there, lets get to work, lets do the work in front of us, lets get this thing on the road.
Everything about these people is vapid and fake.
They are an episode of a reality show, surrounded by a ‘production team’ of advisors and interns who have been raised on a steady diet of tiresome manufactured Kardashian melodrama, which they think applying to everything in life is necessary.
The incredible inauthenticity and complete dearth of substance screams out of the screen and anyone with a shred of discernment knows that real people do not communicate like this.

One key interest of staging so explicitly the “life of our politics” is the “subliminal” msg sent to the viewers: with us (democrats), you are in a TV-viewers relationship and so you, the viewers, have full control (via your remote) on it. The more false/sitcom -like this will get, the more the viewers will feel empowered… they will not ask “who wrote the script ? / who is the backstage marionetist ?”, because they will live in the illusion that they can change the channel at will and that the show makers will only have in mind to please them so they remain their audience… (however, of course real life does not have so many channels…. )
