MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski ludicrously asserted that purposefully mispronouncing Kamala’s Harris’ name is part of a right-wing “hate campaign”.
And she didn’t appear to be joking.
“I’ve heard from inside Republican circles and right-wing media that the hate campaign against Kamala Harris has begun,” said Brzezinski, somehow managing to keep a straight face.
“You’ll notice they purposefully pronounce her name wrong, they say Kamala, they do it all the time, it is on purpose, but the talk is to start that hate campaign and get it going and start it churning,” she added, as someone in the background laughed.
The way Brzezinski herself said “Kamala” and the way she claims Republicans are saying it as part of a “hate campaign” is barely any different to the point where it’s almost indistinguishable.
In fact, you’d have to play the video above back three or four times merely to pick out the difference, where pronouncing it ‘Kamarla’ phonetically is supposedly racist and hateful.
Respondents pointed out that Harris herself has pronounced her own name differently innumerable times, meaning she is apparently part of the hate campaign too.
Others asked for a montage of Joe Biden pronouncing Kamala’s name.
Some couldn’t even tell the difference between the two versions of the name Brzezinski used.
We’ve now entered the insufferable election period where every single slight against Harris will be deemed racist or misogynistic because she is simultaneously Indian and black at the same time.
It won’t be very long before the media denounces anyone who makes fun of her demonic Joker-style cackle as a bigoted sexist either.
Anyone who calls Kamala the ‘DEI presidential candidate’ will also be monstered.

I’m a racist then. I’ve always pronounced it as it’s written, “Kamarla”. Then again, living in the UK, I haven’t heard any other versions yet. But who cares? Hardly anyone can pronounce my name correctly, but I don’t take any offence over it because that would be ridiculous.
