The Biden campaign sent out a bizarre email Saturday labelling donors and supporters calling for him to drop out of the race after the disastrous debate a “bedwetting brigade.”
Biden’s Deputy Campaign Manager Rob Flaherty also compared concerned Democrat supporters to “your panicked aunt,” in the email.
It went on to state “The bedwetting brigade is calling for Joe Biden to “drop out.” That is the best possible way for Donald Trump to win and us to lose.”
“First of all: Joe Biden is going to be the Democratic nominee, period. End of story,” the email continued, adding “Voters voted. He won overwhelmingly. And if he were to drop out, it would lead to weeks of chaos, internal foodfighting, and a bunch of candidates who limp into a brutal floor fight at the convention, all while Donald Trump has time to speak to American voters uncontested.”
In a strange aggressive tone, the email also noted “All of that would be in service of a nominee who would go into a general election in the weakest possible position with zero dollars in their bank account. You want a highway to losing? It’s that.”
It then got even more weird as a chart was included showing Trump beating every other possible Democrat candidate in polling, as well as Biden.
Even Trump hater Bill Kristol noted how odd it was:

Following a crisis meeting with Obama yesterday, Biden will reportedly meet with his family today at Camp David to discuss his future, with insiders claiming that he is feeling “humiliated, devoid of confidence and painfully aware that the physical images of him at the debate — eyes staring into the distance, mouth agape — will live beyond his presidency, along with a performance that at times was meandering, incoherent and difficult to hear.”
“It’s a mess,” the source told NBC News.
The report also notes that Biden will only listen to his wife, and she is the only person who has any sway over him.
A prominent Democratic donor also told the New York Post, “Lots of people are blaming his wife… for not telling him [to step aside].”
