Former ‘The Mandalorian’ Star Gina Carano Is SUING Disney With Funding From Elon Musk

“It was a bullying smear campaign aimed at silencing, destroying & making an example out of me.”

Actress and former mixed martial artist Gina Carano is suing Disney, charging that the company unfairly fired her from the Star Wars spin off ‘The Mandalorian’ because of her political beliefs and public statements on cultural issues. And in a novel twist, the lawsuit is being funded by Elon Musk.

Carano was fired by Disney in 2021 after a social media post in which she compared a mob seeking to destroy someone’s life over their political leanings to the Nazi government in Germany encouraging people to hate Jews before The Holocaust.

She wrote “Because history is edited, most people today don’t realize that to get to the point where Nazi soldiers could easily round up thousands of Jews, the government first made their own neighbors hate them simply for being Jews. How is that any different from hating someone for their political views?”

At the time, Disney issued a statement claiming Carano’s “social media posts denigrating people based on their cultural and religious identities are abhorrent and unacceptable.”

While this post was singled out, what really got Carano fired, however, was more likely her conservatism, expressions of support for Donald Trump and skepticism about the integrity of the 2020 election, her opposition to and ridiculing of mask mandates, COVID lockdowns, and COVID vaccinations, and some spicy memes about transgender pronouns.

In other words, Carano did nothing wrong. The cancel mob targeted her because in a world of insipid conformity and ruthless ideological servility, she has the bravado to think for herself and say what she thinks. She represents the threat of a good example.

Here’s the backstory:

Gene Schaerr, managing partner at Schaerr Jaffe, LLP and attorney of record on the case stated Tuesday “Disney bullied Ms. Carano, trying to force her to conform to their views about cultural and political issues, and when that bullying failed, they fired her.”

“Punishing employees for their speech on political or social issues is illegal under California law,” Schaerr further urged.

Carano and her representatives announced the decision to sue Disney and its Lucasfilm division on Elon Musk’s platform X, noting that to her surprise Musk is making good on a previous pledge to finance any lawsuits of those who claim to have been discriminated against by their employer because of tweets/posts on Twitter/X.

Carano writes “A couple months ago @ElonMusk tweeted that if you had been fired from using the platform (X) for exercising your right to free speech, he would like to offer these people legal representation. Quite the noble offer, but never in my wildest dreams would I have thought anyone would take on my case against Lucasfilm/Disney.  Still, I did respond back “I think I qualify” & thousands of people agreed–but I did not expect anything.”

She continues, “To my surprise, a few months ago I received an email from a lawyer who had been hired by X to look into my story & many others. Turns out after sending them as much information as I could gather these past few months, my now lawyers & X believe whole-heartedly in my case & are moving forward.

“I would like to express my deepest gratitude & thank you to @ElonMusk & @X for giving me an opportunity to bring my case to light,” the actress concludes.

The lawsuit claims that “Carano made no mention of a political party or a particular point of view and compared no one or group of people to the Jewish people during the Holocaust. Rather, she noted the danger that arises when one point of view is singled out for harassment.”

In her statement, the actress further notes “I was being hunted down from everything I posted to every post I liked because I was not in line with the acceptable narrative of the time. My words were consistently twisted to demonize & dehumanize me as an alt right wing extremist. It was a bullying smear campaign aimed at silencing, destroying & making an example out of me.”

She continues, “Some of us have been unjustly singled out, harassed, persecuted and had our livelihoods stripped away because we dared to encourage conversation, asked questions, and refused to go along with the mob.”

Elon Musk has on ongoing beef with Disney, previously accusing CEO Bob Eiger of endorsing child abuse material by continuing to advertise on Facebook and Instagram while boycotting X.

As well as infamously telling Disney and other major companies to “go fuck themselves,” Musk also said Disney has “a major content problem,” with much of their output being “unwatchable,” and that “They are the world’s biggest example of go woke, go broke.”

  1. I’ve got a lot of their pre-woke movies and that’s about all I’ll let my grandkids watch from Disney.

  2. I hope Disney tanks. A giant pedophile outfit run by even worse pedophiles and shored up the federal government which also just happens to be chock full of pedophiles and other degenerates.
