After comedian Jim Gaffigan cracked an Epstein-based pedophile joke in front of Hollywood celebrities at the Golden Globes, the media suggested it was in bad taste.
“This is so exciting for me. The Golden Globes – I can’t even believe I’m in the entertainment industry. I can’t,” said Gaffigan during last night’s ceremony.
“You know, it’s so unlikely. I’m from a small town in Indiana. I’m not a pedophile. I don’t know if that’s a new category here, but…” he joked.
The gag prompted nervous ripples of laughter throughout the Hollywood elitist crowd.
The line is based on the fact that numerous big names from the entertainment world appeared in the recent Epstein data release, primarily because the sex trafficker bragged about hanging out with them.
Unsurprisingly, the media reacted to Gaffigan’s joke by asserting it made him look bad.
According to TMZ, the comedian “took the oxygen out of the room,” adding that “his crack felt like a little too soon for the ritzy crowd.”
According to the Mirror, “many couldn’t believe someone would reference the scandal during a major award show,” despite the fact that Ricky Gervais, who Gaffigan was giving an award to, famously referenced the scandal when he hosted the event in January 2020.
Meanwhile, the left-wing Independent said the Epstein-based joke left Hollywood stars “wincing” and said it was based on a ‘spurious’ foundation because the Hollywood stars named in the Epstein files didn’t necessarily commit any wrongdoing.

Fame and fortune have always been a safe haven for those who choose to construct a veneer of respectability. It is the values that public put on those assets that give the demons their cover. The more the money and the more the glitz, the more the corruption, it mostly always follows.

Glad that true comedians are speaking truth to power and not watering down the satire to appeal to their audience. Sad to see that our country has come this far and that it needs to be pointed out the emperor has no clothes (mainly due to the fact that he is a murderous deceitful pervert).
