The salient quality of modern thought seems to be ‘morality’ (paging Queen Victoria!)
It occurs to me that any choice that confronts Gen Z people puts upon their psyches the awesome and gravid quandary of sussing out the moral implications of their choice:
“Is this choice eco-friendly?”
“Is that choice sustainable?”
“Is this option harmful to indigenous peoples?”
“Is that choice unethical to animals?”
“Does choosing this perpetuate white privilege?”
“Does choosing that misappropriate someone’s culture?”
I’m so grateful that I am a troglodyte who doesn’t give a damn about any of that rubbish.
