Elon Musk Comments On Man IMPRISONED For Posting Hillary Clinton Memes On Twitter

“What prison sentences were given out to those who suppressed the Hunter Biden laptop information?”

Elon Musk has raised some serious questions after a man was sentenced to prison for the crime of posting memes about Hillary Clinton on Twitter during the 2016 election.

Trump supporter Douglass Mackey, also known as “Ricky Vaughn,” was handed a seven month sentence for sharing the memes that claimed Democrats could vote for Hillary by text in 2016.

Mackay was convicted on a single count of ‘conspiring with others’ to interfere in the 2016 presidential election.

Prosecutors claimed that Mackey was also a member of private direct-message groups on Twitter, in which he discussed ways of spreading material “intended variously to provoke, mislead, and, in some cases, deceive voters in the 2016 presidential election.”

No evidence was presented showing that anyone had been duped by the messages, and the same messages were sent by anti-Trump Twitter users, without anyone ever being charged:

Elon Musk responded to the news by pointing out that the memes in question “had no material impact on the election,” and then asked “What prison sentences were given out to those who suppressed the Hunter Biden laptop information?”

“That *did* have a material impact on the election,” Musk further noted:

Others chimed in:

Mackey himself acknowledged the outcome of the case on Wednesday by sharing an incorrect Daily Beast headline claiming the prison sentence handed to him is “7 years”:

A fundraiser has been launched for his Mackey’s ongoing legal defense.
