White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre claimed Monday that illegal immigration has dropped by ninety percent under Joe Biden, a gargantuan lie that even Biden’s most ardent supporters cannot defend.
“When it comes to illegal migration, you have seen it come down by more than 90%, and that’s because of the actions that this president has taken,” Karine Jean Pierre claimed, in what has to be the most blatantly false statement she’s made to date.
Customs and Border Protection data shows that more than 5 million illegal immigrants have crossed the U.S. border since Biden became president.
The CBP also estimates that there have been around 1.2 million ‘gotaways’, that is illegal immigrants who evaded capture and are now just freely roaming around the country.
During the same press conference Monday, Jean-Pierre also spoke about the manhunt that is going on in Texas for an individual accused of murdering five of his neighbors.
The Press Secretary called the incident another “horrific act of gun violence in America,” but conveniently forgot to mention that the suspect is an illegal alien who has been deported from the U.S. multiple times.
Instead Jean-Pierre used the case as a way of pushing for increased gun control, stating “the President believes prayers alone are not enough. Congress must act because what makes tragedies like this one all the more heart wrenching is the fact that it is entirely within our power to take these weapons of war off our streets.”
