Extinction Rebellion co-founder Roger Hallam wrote a 2019 pamphlet in which he claimed that man-made climate change would lead to the gang rape of “your mother, sister and girlfriend.”
Yes, really.
Hallam, who is involved in the ongoing Insulate Britain eco-mob protests, wrote the diatribe while incarcerated in HMP Wormwood Scrubs.
The pamphlet warned that ecological chaos would lead to a situation where “a gang of boys will break into your house demanding food,” after which they “will see your mother, your sister, your girlfriend and they will gang rape her on the kitchen table.”
“They will force you to watch, laughing at you. At the end they will accuse you of enjoying it,” he added.
It is not clear if Hallam was referring to migrants when he spoke of gang rape, but environmental activists have repeatedly warned that climate change will cause huge waves of migration from African and the Middle East to the west.
Hallam said he wrote the sordid prediction as a warning for young people who “face annihilation” by climate change.
Farah Nazeer, the chief executive of Women’s Aid, responded to the issue by asserting, “Violence against women should not be used as a threat.”
Hallam was kicked out of Extinction Rebellion last year after saying there was nothing “unique” about the killing of 6 million Jews during the Holocaust.
