Twitch Streamer Banned For “Hate Speech” Because He Had ‘Trump’ in His Username

Account was created years before Trump even ran for president.

A Twitch streamer was apparently banned for “hate speech” because his username included the word ‘Trump’.

Twitch is a live streaming platform which is primarily used for streaming video games. It is owned by Amazon subsidiary Twitch Interactive.

In a Reddit post, the streamer wrote, “I got perma banned for “hate speech” because my name had Donald Trump in it.”

The streamer’s username was ‘D_Trump_Apprentice69’. An email from Twitch support states that the account was banned for advocating “violence against others and/or “hate speech”.

What makes the decision even more bizarre is that the username was created in 2011, years before Trump even ran as president.

The banned user lamented the fact that him being a fan of The Apprentice TV show appears to have cost him his account.

WOW! Is this the tastiest protein bar on the market?
