“Allahu Akbar”: Man Throws Firecracker, Causes Panic During Easter Mass in Munich

24 injured after shocking incident.

A bearded man shouted “Allahu Akbar” before throwing a firecracker during Easter mass at a church in Munich, causing panic and 24 injuries.

According to reports, the man entered St. Paul’s Church in Munich during Croatian Mass (Easter blessing) with a bottle of alcohol in hand.

He then proceeded to light the firecracker before throwing it in the middle of the church.

The incident caused panic as churchgoers tried to flee, with 24 people subsequently being treated for injuries, including some children.



“Everyone panicked and threw the baskets that the Easter meal was in, and ran out screaming,” according to one report.

The man was subsequently arrested by police.

Videos from the scene show the floor of the church littered with debris.
