London Honors Easter by Displaying “Happy Ramadan” Lights

No plans to replace them.

London’s West End will honor Christianity over the Easter Weekend – by displaying Ramadan lights.

Wait, what?

The Islamic holy month lights, which say “Happy Ramadan,” were switched on earlier this month in key central tourist locations at Oxford Street and between Piccadilly Circus and Leicester Square by Mayor Sadiq Khan.

They remain in place, with seemingly no plan to replace them with Easter decorations, proving once again that Christianity is being erased from public life in the UK.

“The lights are funded by the Aziz Foundation, a charity founded by Asif Aziz, a billionaire property developer whose company owns sites including the London Trocadero that occupies much of the block between Piccadilly Circus and Leicester Square,” reports the Telegraph.

As we previously highlighted, Ramadan was also celebrated in one of London’s busiest train stations, King’s Cross, with train time boards displaying a “hadith [Islamic epithet] of the day” urging sinners to “repent often”.

Paul Swaddle, leader of the minority Tory group on Westminster council, asked why the Ramadan display wasn’t being replaced with a recognition of Easter.

“The thing I would question is this: there has been a Ramadan celebration in the window of Westminster city hall. But I just wonder if the Easter one is going up very soon? Easter is one of the most important Christian festivals of the year but what are they [the Labour council] doing to celebrate it? I am not aware they are. I suspect the window display is not going to change,” he said.

A Westminster City Council spokesman said, “The West End hosts millions of visitors a year from around the world and these lights will add an attractive extra dimension to Oxford Street for those who observe Ramadan and those who don’t.”

In other words, if you don’t recognize Ramadan, tough, and if you’re thinking Easter will be honored at all, you can go whistle.

We also documented how Easter is now even being removed from confectionary products, with one Cadbury store promoting “gesture eggs” instead.

As we previously highlighted, Frankfurt recently became the first German city to hang Ramadan lights at a cost of over €50,000 euros to honor the fact that 15 per cent of its population is now Muslim.

Two dozen children were also told they could not drink water at a school in Germany because three other students in the class were Muslims observing Ramadan.

  1. The UK died years ago. They can’t drive a real military anymore and when WW3 comes they will be defeated by Russia.

  2. London was lost years ago. White British are a minority in the capital. Lee Anderson was right when he said Khan has given London to his mates and this just proves the point.

  4. This non-stop creeping in of Islamic traditions indicates just how betrayed we have all become. Betrayed by western politicians in virtually every country from the very top.
