Singers Macy Grey and Bette Middler have both been attacked and branded as ‘TERFs’ by the angry trans mob on Twitter after they both made statements asserting that women’s rights trump gender ideology.
Grey stated in an interview that a biological male having surgery to change gender does not make that person a woman.
When asked what a woman is by Piers Morgan (purely interested in stirring up controversy for his own ratings, but hey ho), Grey replied “I would say, ah, a human being with boobs… And a vagina.”
“Now that’s a little … getting confusing, the whole he, she, they …” Gray continued, adding “I will say this, and everybody’s going to hate me, but as a woman, just because you go change your parts doesn’t make you a woman. Sorry.”
Grey added, “If you want me to call you a her, I will, because that’s what you want. But that doesn’t make you a woman, just ’cause I call you a her and just ’cause you got a surgery.”
While many supported her stance, Grey was almost immediately branded transphobic and a TERF by the mob:
Grey’s comments came on the same day as singer Bette Midler posted this:
Midler is a rampant unhinged leftist who genuflects about every current thing minute by minute for social clout, so it’s highly ironic that she now finds herself the focus of the angry mob’s ire:
And of course, Grey and Midler are now both fascists, the favourite insult of the mob:
Likely Grey and Midler will be subject to the kind of horrific threats of violence that author JK Rowling has to deal with, and that Twitter seemingly has no issue with:
